What a nice holiday!

We had such a lovely day yesterday, just being together and enjoying each other's company! I can only hope for each of you that you had a great day as well, doing what ever it is you do! :)

We had a nice big dinner at home with all 7 of our family members and a friend came over with his new puppy. The puppy and midnight fell in love, I am pretty sure! lol.

We had a HUGE dinner that was really yummy and some cupcakes I made for dessert, which were not only adorable but really good! I just love, love, love homemade frosting! lol

For the cupcakes I used Mellisa Bennett's Bang Boom Pop kit and the girls cut the elements out I printed and put them on large toothpicks (which is why they are not all perfect, but they loved it and had fun, which is the point...notice the upside down freedom on the left? lol) and then used them in the cupcakes. It was cute and festive if not a little busy! lol

We played with our own fireworks last night, and aside from the skeeters it was awesome. We had such a lovely evening, and I sank into bed last night tired but satisfied. It was a good day!

  1. Wow! That turned out nice! Glad to hear you had a good holiday. My tabby cat spent it cowering under the bed. The fireworks don't seem to phase Miss Diamond though, as she slept through them all.
