Caught up in the daily grind.

Time flies when you have a freak quilting accident lol.

Well...it was hardly an accident but I get a kick out of saying a freak quilting accident lol. I guess basically I just discovered I have the beginnings of carpal tunnel while doing my first rag quilt. My thumb and two fingers were numb and I had to wear a stupid brace and well... ok I am still not supposed to be using my hand but pish posh. I can not just do.... nothing! gah! I would go nutso.

Let's see ... what else has been going on? My dh and I finally got a Wii for the family. It is SO much fun. I got my 76 yr old mother to try the bowling with me ... (there is a reason for those lame straps I guess lol) and she bowled the controller right into our 52 inch big screen lol. Thank goodness it was ok, and so was she. It had to have been THE funniest moment of 2010 thus far! Then she proceed to kick my ass in darts and one of the kids too! lol Go figure.

I finished up a cute Easter sign (ya know... while NOT using my hand) that I will show ya tomorrow. I am working on finishing up the quilt and working on an Easter wreath also, so keep your eyes open for that.

In the mean time...have a great day! It is an amazingly beautiful day here in Central Florida!

  1. I saw a tutorial for a rag quilt recently and fell in love. I so want to make one, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

LOL would have loved to have seen the Wii events. That's another thing I've been wanting.

  2. You are going to love the WII. But remember the strap. It gets pretty intense at times. One other thing. Don't under estimate us old people.LOL

  3. I definitely can't underestimate my mom ... who knew she was one tough old broad! lol She is a good sport though and actually enjoys herself... plus I think it is doing her some good with the moving around and such.
