A to Z Blogging Challenge: Home

I am not usually a big fan of cliches, but I definitely believe the old adage that Home is where your Heart is.

Due to my husbands line of work, we tend to move a lot... sometimes every year. So, for us, it is very important to make whatever "house" we happen to be in a HOME. As long as I have my family and the things that we cherish I am really the kind of person that can feel at home anywhere.

Let's see, we have had homes in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Orlando, Florida, Clermont, Florida; Queens, New York; Rock Creek, Ohio; Erie, Pa; Kissimmee, Florida; Coral Springs, Florida; and currently we are in Stafford, Virginia.

Stafford is a small town 40 "ish" miles outside of DC. We are close to Quantico among many other military installments, so everything here is military "ish" , political, and very historic. It is really an interesting place to live.

Here is a pic of our home. Not the best, I could not get one with out a sun ray directly over the house lol, but that is us :)

Happy Saturday everyone!

  1. I have to say that the houses you've lived in make my little one look like a mere shack....lol
But heck I've been in this here shack for 23 years now, I'm kind of used to it

  2. Your home is gorgeous and it is loved and you raised a beautiful family there ... that is all it is about, sis!

  3. I had to blink twice when I saw where you've lived -- I grew up in Pompano Beach and lived there for 30 years! Your blog is gorgeous -- stopped by while doing the A-Z challenge. Love what I see here -- it's eye candy and food for the brain. Adding you to my blogroll.

  4. Very nice home! I did like the history around VA. Historic sites were just a short drive away.
