Quilt Wall Hanging

I am so happy that I finally get to share this! My friend, Cornelia, and I did a mini quilt swap. A wall hanging size, around 20 inches. I think mine turned out 24 inches square. I finished this about a month ago but recently mailed it, to Austria and the wait for her to get it was killing me! Also, I could not share it since she had not seen it!

Anyway, here it is and her receiving it! I was so glad she loved it! I will show my pics as well as hers since they are both very different in coloring due to light. I am still waiting for my package from her to arrive but I will definitely share when I get it! I am so excited and this was a lot of fun making something for someone else.

Here is Cornelia with the little quilt. It was the first star block I have done and I decided since it was a wall hanging to just blow up the size of the block for one complete star when it hangs.

and here are my shots

I am happy with how it turned out...and see, this is another close up for you of the cheat binding tutorial I used again! I love it! <3

Happy Tuesday!

  1. The quilt is really lovely. I have a few very old quilts from my great grandmother--I cherish them because the fabric squares come from various baby blankets from generations of family---so cool to have a little something from my ancestors!
