WIP Wednesday - June 19th Edition

Well, here we go again! :) Yay! My favorite blog post of the week :)

WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced

This week I have a few fun things to share with you! I am pretty excited about a couple of them, but one has me a little lack luster. Here is what I have:

I am trying the crazy quilt as you go block thingy, I was following a tut but now I can not seem to find it, so I apologize for not giving credit here for it. I chose these Amy Butler fabrics because I am not really in love with them and my mother in law is so I figured I would make her a wall hanging for Christmas. I am pretty sure at this point they are the wrong fabrics for this but I am gonna stick with it call it a learning process and then make a better one next time. lol That's my story and I am sticking to it!

This is my beautiful second Dresden project. I absolutely love this fabric, thank you Joel Dewberry for being amazing and making me look good! lol. This is where I am so far in this table runner. I need to do the bordering down the long sides and the flower middles before it will be ready for basting, but I am completely in love with it and really proud of this one!

Last week, with the kitty playing in the scraps... that was for this! I made this adorable bunting for July 4th and I really love how this turned out as well! The bias tape that I bought for the tape was on clearance for 97 cents at JoAnns and it is Denim! It looks great in person. I am hoping to post a tutorial for this one this week or next at the latest.

The new fabric I got this weekend, Luxe in Bloom, I decided I need something to cut into so I started a new project as well. I definitely have crafting ADD and need more than one thing going on at a time. Well, I decided to try another something new to me since I finally got Dresdens down. I am going with triangles. These are laid out here but not yet sewn so wish me luck ... I have heard this can be a little tricky! lol

So, what do you have going on this week? I am definitely going to be hopping through and checking everything out! If you stopped by, thanks and I am glad to have you!

  5. I can relate to the crafting ADD ... though I prefer to call it SASS (short attention span syndrome). Those dresdens are so fresh looking, and I love the scrappy sashing, too.
