2014 Skill Builder - update

I am so excited about the Skill Builder this year, I mean... hello, look at this cute theme! I read it is around a lap size... which is sorta big for a wall hanging but none the less mine is going on the wall in my craft room when its done! I am totally in love with it! I shared the blocks so far in my Wednesday works in progress post but I wanted to share all my progress here.

First we had to pick our own color them and I came up with a few and settled on this one. Which, by the way, is totally out of my comfort zone and I love it.

Then we had to do our coloring sheets. I went a little different with not everything having the same backgrounds but I think I like it. I am not sure if I will change things as I go but this is the general idea.

We have pieced two blocks so far and in a few more days will begin quilting them, this is also a quilt as you go, which is now my new favorite! lol I just can't seem to control giant quilts so QAYG works for me!

So far so good. I am going to try my hardest to keep up with it this year instead of catching up 7 months worth of stuff in the last month lol. Wish me luck with that! Lol
