In scrapbooking, we moms tend to take pictures and scrapbook our family memories... and we also tend to leave our selves out of our books. It is so important for our children to have memories of us as well. To hear journaling about our selves and our point of view... how we feel about them, ourselves, the world around us, etc.
So I am all for this idea! I did not participate last year as I did not really hear about it from the beginning. So, this is my first year also taking part in this project at the same time that I am doing my regular scrapbooking and my Project Life memory keeping as well. I should be taking my week 6 photo this weekend as wekk 7 is about to begin for this I have the photos for the first 5 weeks.
Now, again, I had to put my own spin on this. In addition to taking the photo I am also going to scrap it into an AAM (all about me) layout and then turn all 52 layouts into a book about me at the end of the year. When I scrap these layouts I am simply journaling about what is going on in my mind at the time. So far, I think it is working out well.
So, I wanted to share with you weeks one and 2. Both the photos and the subsequent layouts. I will catch up and then keep up with posting my layouts just as I am with my Project Live layouts.
Week 1
week 2
So weeks one and two done, posted, and shared! Maybe this accountability thing is going to work for me after all! :)
