Happy Giveaway Day! Eeeek! This is so exciting! Last Fall was the first time I discovered the Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day and let me tell you I was completely floored at the generosity of bloggers. It is absolutely amazing how this community comes together for things like this and I knew I had to be a part of it!
I discovered so many new blogs, so much inspiration, entered a ton of giveaways and just really enjoyed the experience. Now I am really glad to be here and play along in this Spring event.
Since I am a quilter I am giving away fabric! I am hoping to bring a smile to someone's day by enabling their favorite hobbies as well.
I have a full 10 piece FQ bundle of Tangier Ikat in the Sunset colorway. I love the patterns in these fabrics and I have had them for awhile but I seem to not work well with oranges. I am not sure why!
How to enter the giveaway:
1. leave a comment on this post letting me know what colors you work with most and what you have trouble working with
2. if you are a follower you get a second entry in the giveaway, just leave a second comment telling me you follow me, and how
3. this giveaway is open to anyone, anywhere
4. if you are a no reply blogger (which I hope by now noone is) please leave your email otherwise if you win I will not be able to contact you and will need to pick a second winner.
Since Giveaway "Day" is open for a week, this giveaway will remain open for 7 days and I will announce the winner Monday morning, May 19th. The winner will be contacted via email by me to notify them.
I hope you have fun going through the giveaways and discovering new blogs and finding inspiration... I know I will! Enjoy!
May the odds be ever in your favor!
-Tanyia
I've been working with pinks (all variations and shades) lately because there have been a lot of baby girls born to friends and family recently! I don't really have trouble working with any colors, because even if I'm not fond of the colors, I know somebody else will be and will enjoy whatever I've made.
ReplyDeleteAnd I follow via bloglovin.
ReplyDeletepinks and oranges
ReplyDeleteThe colors I work with most are pinks and blues. I so have a problem with orange.
ReplyDeleteI love orange!!
ReplyDeleteI love jewel tones but have a very hard time with earth tones
ReplyDeleteI work with pinks, blues, purples, yellows, greens, red and black. I like a good rainbow in my quilts.
ReplyDeleteI find myself working with blues and purples. I find it hard to work with neon colors.
ReplyDeleteajoyfulnoise(at)live(dot)com
I've been working with earthy tones mostly, but would love to work in reds!
ReplyDeleteLovely Fabrics! I work best with oranges and blues, and cannot stand working with purples and browns! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors they will go great with my bicycle. Never thought I would like orang, but I do now that I have an orange bike!
ReplyDeleteFran frani(at)grammyshands(dot)us
I LOVE pinks, oranges, and yellows, all in one big mess. And sometimes red too, just for fun! I have a hard time with subtle color palettes. I like things loud! :)
ReplyDeleteLovely fabric...I tend to stay away from solids! As much as I have tried, fabric with with anything on it is much more fun! I too am a stay at home mom - but of three boys, ages 19, 17, and 13! :) Have a great day and thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteSweet giveaway! I love working with bright colors, but pretty much bounce all over the place in the colors I use.
ReplyDeleteNice bright summer colors!
ReplyDeleteI love pink!
ReplyDeleteI work with a lot of pink and grays. Maybe the fact that I have 2 little girls is why!
ReplyDeleteI work well with oranges. Pink and orange together are my favorite! But I can't work with any dusty colors or brown.
ReplyDeleteI love all colors, but i find myself working with greens and blues more than the Reds and Pinks i have in my stash.
ReplyDeleteI use lots of blues. Not many yellows
ReplyDeleteI would definitely work with this bundle: my 5 year old daughter's favorite color is orange, followed closely y pink :) For selfish sewing, I like jewel tones. Thanks for the chance to win! bonandclyde AT hotmail DOT com
ReplyDeleteI have problems with pinks, hope these cure me! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI work a lot with patterned brights, and seem to have trouble working with solids
ReplyDeletequilting dash lady at comcast dot net
I love bright colors right now! I have a hard time with small patterns. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI tend towards blues, greys, and greens and either solids or small prints. I have a hard time with florals, especially large floral prints, and purples. Come to think of it, I don't think I've actually ever made anything with purple in it...
ReplyDeleteI love working with purples. Oranges, not so great but I have also found...if I put them with something anyway.. I will end up liking the color! Case in point, I made a lap quilt with teal, orange and yellow..it was a set of fat quarters Igot on sale at the fabric store. So I thought, for the first time in my life, I will buy a set that is already a set (instead of making my own set) and make something with it. The quilt turned out really nice, I used a zigzag pattern made from HST's. I hardly even notice the orange over the other 2 colors! Moral of the story to me...try it. I might like it! Thanks for the giveaway!

ReplyDeleteI love to work with blues and purples. I find it hard to work with yellow.
ReplyDeleteI work with aqua and pink the most. I struggle with scrappy low volume!
ReplyDeleteI always stock up on the same tone on tone "saturated" fabrics when I'm able to get Stateside to visit Joann Fabrics - hot pink, lime green, royal blue and red - because I use them so much. Pink is my favourite colour to play with (especially when paired with orange) :) Red is sometimes hard to work with because the different reds don't always play well together, and are frequently hard to match!
ReplyDeleteBecause I have a little diva ... er... I mean... 4year old girl... I mostly get stuck working with pink and purple. I have the most trouble working with green. Either I can't match it, or that colour has too many subtle shades. I'm leaning towards the latter hehehe.
ReplyDeleteI love to work with aqua, orange and black, harder is browns or golds.
