Ash Wednesday...among other things

Today is Ash Wednesday, and though it feels like not many people follow any sort of religious traditions anymore I thought I would at least acknowledge the day.

I am not Catholic, although I was baptized Catholic when I was born. I grew up instead as a Southern Baptist. However, I do like to observe Lent. I look at it more of a spiritual cleansing and giving up of one thing in my life in order to feel a small amount of sacrifice. It is a good thing to be humbled once in awhile, and to remember (no matter what religious sect you are) that the person you believe in as a higer up has sacrificed more than you could ever imagine for the sake of humanity. To sacrifice one or two small parts of your life as a quiet thank you and sign of respect is a good feeling. So, if you celebrate Lent as well, may you find peace and joy during the Lent and Easter season.

Now, on to share some LOs I have done! I have been trying in earnest to get better with my scrapping. I mean there is nothing wrong with any LO as it is the purpose behind it that truly matters, BUT in order to be happy with mine... I wanted to work on a few things. Anyway some CT LO's I have done recently:

These two were done using Meredith Cardall's February Flower Garden kit at ES.
