Fall Into Reading '09

I came across a great reading blog called Callapidder Days through the blog of a blog of a blog sorta thing. hehe. I noticed they hold several reading challenges and things to motivate yourself to read more and they host book give-a-ways, it just looks like a great place to me.

I do not necessarily feel I need to challenge myself to read more per say, it is more like I need to take time AWAY from the PC and some time for myself and just ... be. So I am going to take part in the Fall challenge.

Take a moment and check it out and if you participate in it, please let me know I would love to read your list and support you through out it!

Thankfully the list and/or goals for this can change as you go, as you see fit. When I update it I will repost my info! :) I am sure you are holding your breath? lol

My goal... is to read 25 books by Dec 20, which is the deadline. That may not sound like a lot but I have been in a bit if a reading slump lately! lol. I am also going to link my blog to my good reads account so it is easier to keep track of how many I have read and you can see what I last read.

I started with a trip to the bookstore today! :) Yay! And bought the following which is what my list will start off with, plus a couple others I already know I want to read.

1. Ghostgirl by Tonya Hurley ... currently reading this one already.

2. The Hour I First Believed by Wally Lamb

3. Dracula by Bram Stoker (I actually never have read the original)

4. The Lace Reader by Brunonia Barry

5. The Girl Who Stopped Swimming by Joshilyn Jackson

6. Impossible by Nancy Werlin

7. Stargazer by Claudia Gray

8. Blood Promise by Richelle Mead

9. Fragile Eternity by Melissa Marr

And I will add more as I go! Wish me luck! If you are a member of goodreads please link me up Id love to follow your book list!

  3. Don't set your sights too high kiddo. Reading is a pleasure. Relax and enjoy and share...but don't make it a challenge. Just do it because it's a great escape.

  5. Thanks for stopping by my blog! What a fun challenge. I was on a big reading kick until this month when I've had so much going on that I've fallen a bit by the wayside. Picking back up with a Judy Blume anthology now. I have The Girl Who Stopped Swimming on my to be read list - I hope you enjoy it!
