Another easy peasy weekday meal!

I love finding quick and easy meals for the week. Something that I make but that I can "half" make. You know...semi homemade. That is one of the reasons why I am such a big fan of Sandra Lee from Food TV and a fan of casseroles.

Here is a really yummy and super easy recipe that kids and adults both will love.

Bowties and Meatballs.

1 1/2 boxes of bowtie pasta
2 14.5 oz cans of stewed tomatoes, undrained.
2 8oz cans of tomato sauce
1/2 c red wine
1 packet of dry onion soup mix
1 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
16 oz package of frozen meatballs
1 cup of shredded mozzarella

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cook pasta and drain.

While pasta is cooking, put all other ingredients, except shredded cheese, in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over med heat, and then stir in the cooked pasta.

Put ingredients in a 9 x 13 baking dish, bake 30 to 40 min, covered, until heated through. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top, cook 10 more minutes, uncovered, until melted.

Great served with garlic bread!

  2. Yea...I am pretty certain that even cardboard with enough cheese would be delish! lol

  3. I agree with Tanyia. I would eat cardboard as long as it was slathered with enough tomato sauce and cheese.

I'm sure your recipe is LOTS better though, and I'm planning to try it.
