From This to That: Napkins

I picked up a set of 4 cloth napkins at Target on clearance for 1.48.

The beautiful, vibrant colors were so summery and they just struck me as so Becca, my youngest. Of course I was right because she loves them.

So I decided to make them into a skirt for her. She is still at the stage where she just loves skirts and I want to enjoy that while I can! :)

All I did was cut off the edges and the top, leaving the bottom hem professionally done. (That was easy!) Then I sewed together the sides, all 4. I like a full skirt on her, so I used all four and cinched them with elastic.

After I had the sides connected I double folded the top and sewed as close to the edge as possible, leaving lots of room to thread my elastic. Then I measured her cute little tummy and threaded in my elastic, sewed it together and closed the seam. Viola! It took about half an hour or so, and I am new so I am a bit slow. So if you know what you are doing you are good to go in about 20 minutes hehe!

She actually does love the skirt... I swear lol. She was rather grumpy and in NO mood for having mom take another picture for her blog. I was so darn pleased with myself actually thinking of this and having a new skirt for her at such a low cost... so she can deal! :P
