Happy Independence Day, America!

I am not one to usually get all sappy and mushy .... but I will definitely post a mushy post for today!

I am one of those Americans that realizes that Freedom is never free. I want to say that I truly appreciate every man and woman that is brave enough to stake their lives in defense of our country. That takes a level of commitment, patriotism, and courage that I am not sure I will ever be able to comprehend. But to those of you that do it, please know that you are loved, honored, appreciated, and held in the highest revere.

To those of you who have had watch your children leave in this pursuit... I just could never imagine. Bless you all, may you all have an amazing holiday, hear from your loved ones for peace of mind, stay strong and may they return to you soon!

I know, I know... it's not Veteran's Day, etc ... but w/o our armed forces we would not be our own nation. So, thank you.

If you are not usually mushy either, just take a minute and be thankful. Have an amazing holiday and please be safe!

Happy Birthday, America!

  2. I have a bit of a soft spot when it comes to anything patriotic. I guess I just get a little mushy over the red white and blue too.
    Happy 4th.

  4. I totally agree with you, Tanya!!! I don't think you are mushy at all. I think it was very sincere and touching!! It is so important to thank the men and women, who are so faithfully serving our country.I loved your post. It made me a little teary-eyed actually. We have quite a few friends that are in the military.
