Paper Flower Wall Hanging

So...I have seen lots of cute butterfly wall hangings that were made using craft punches and even a couple hand cut ones. I love how they look. I decided to make one, but after wandering around Michael's for way too long I ended up going with the general idea but switching it up a bit.

I got a really lovely cherry wood colored frame from Michael's (on sale) and went with scrapbooking flowers that were already made. I love the color combination of them, and I also got some Martha Stewart stick on pearls that I could use for the center of them as well.

It is funny because I am a not an old fashioned kinda mommy, I listen to rock music, swear too much, and am pretty damn lazy but when it comes to pearls I love them and I feel like June Cleaver when they are around lol. They make me want to sing, "I feel pretty, oh so pretty! I feel pretty and witty and bright!"

Oh, right anyway, here we go with my craft, I love how it turned out. It makes me smile every time I look at it.

So here are my supplies, minus one I forgot ... a piece of scrapbook paper to put the flowers on, but I already had that.

Then I just layered the flowers however it struck my fancy. Slapped on some glue dots and put them relatively evenly on the paper. I knew I wanted this layout and I wanted then even on the paper put not anally retentively so, so they are almost even, slightly off ... not perfect, which is perfect for me. If you neeeeeeed perfection, by all means take some time to measure and rule, have fun with that! But that is just not me. I do not mind it looking as if I made it!

And viola! I love it.
