Sunday Survivial Tips

Well... after 17 years I am still surviving motherhood. So, I thought I would share a few survival tips for anyone needing them. Every Sunday feel free to stop by and check out the latest.

Surviving Motherhood Survival Tip #1

Do not buy your 9 year old a video recorder for her birthday!
*if you do not heed this survival tip there will be various videos of you on Flickr in various states of attire, hair do, composure, possible swearing, and definitely blogging. After approximately 87 videos you will begin muttering under your breath in an incoherent manner, leading your family to ponder the levels of your sanity. You will begin planning the demise of the device you just shelled out 80 dollars to purchase.

Please... I beg you people...learn from my mistake...

  1. I learned a similar lesson with a digital camera, that also took short video. (Of course, I did not know it at the time.) My very talented daughter was extremely creative and I just wanted to smash that camera with a sledgehammer. I managed to control myself and we now have some ground rules. (Mom has complete editing rights to any video she is in.)

    Good luck!

  2. Thanks for the follow! Followed back!

  3. ROFL, there's something to be said for NOT giving kids what they really want

  4. LOL! My daughter is 4 and she knows how to use my iphone camera both still and video. The other day I had been looking to show a friend a picture of said daughter and my friend was looking over m shoulder when an embarassing picture came up that my daughter took of me when I looked HORRIBLE!!

Following (late) from Friendly Friday! Hopefully you can stop by and follow me as well!

  5. haha that's great and yes I'm getting pleasure out of something that didn't happen to me... yet ;)

  6. lol! i'll have to remember that one. now how do I look up videos of you on flickr? sure she didn't put you on youtube too?? teehee.

  7. Oh no! Yikes! I have enough trouble w/ my 3-yo taking pics of me with her rough and tough tumble camera. :) Great tip!

Thanks for taking the time to comment, it always makes my day!
