Surviving Motherhood Survival Tip #1
Do not buy your 9 year old a video recorder for her birthday!
*if you do not heed this survival tip there will be various videos of you on Flickr in various states of attire, hair do, composure, possible swearing, and definitely blogging. After approximately 87 videos you will begin muttering under your breath in an incoherent manner, leading your family to ponder the levels of your sanity. You will begin planning the demise of the device you just shelled out 80 dollars to purchase.
Please... I beg you people...learn from my mistake...
I learned a similar lesson with a digital camera, that also took short video. (Of course, I did not know it at the time.) My very talented daughter was extremely creative and I just wanted to smash that camera with a sledgehammer. I managed to control myself and we now have some ground rules. (Mom has complete editing rights to any video she is in.)
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
