Pear Cranberry Relish!

Ok, so I posted already today, and I am NOT a twice in one day kinda blogger but I got so excited I just had to make an exception here! Plus ... you still have time to make this! hehe

I was tired of the cranberry jelly crap that comes in a can, even though I love the slight tart cranberry flavor. So this year I decided to try something fresh from scratch. Now this has no where near the same consistency, but I can NOT wait to eat it on some left over turkey sandwiches lol. This has such an incredibly bright, fresh flavor I was shocked!

I got the recipe from Food Network, I would love to take credit for it, but I am just sharing it. :)

All you need to do is take 3c of fresh cranberries, one navel orange, one pear, a 1/2c of light brown sugar, and a pinch of salt.

Wash and dry fruit, cut orange and pear into chunks... leave the skin on both of them (trust me here).

Dump everything into food processor and pulse until you are happy with the consistency.

Taste....be amazed! Awesome!

  1. That's a lot like the cranberry relish we make at the store. Only difference is we put in celery instead of the pear and use granulated sugar instead of brown. But it's delicious. I love the stuff
