Swap Carefully

All I am here to say today is ... Swap carefully.

If you love swaps, craft swaps specially, please... send your part. I took the time to make 3 headband, 2 pair of earrings and a zipper clutch/pouch for my swap partner. What did I get in return? Not a damn thing. Oh and btw... my partner was one of the co-hosts.

That will teach me.

I got a few promises of it being made up to me, but of course nothing happened. I will not be a jack ass and say who it was... but honestly? No...not honest at all.

Yes, I am ranting. It pisses me off. Never going to worry about seeing me near their blogs again. Dishonest people suck. The end.

  1. Been there, done that, felt that feeling. I'm officially done with swaps myself for the same reason. It's sad that some people ruin it. Now I only swap with close friends. That way everybody wins. Who ever received your package was blessed indeed and at the end of the day, you can know that your heart was in the right place.

  2. I agree with you and with Karen. I took the time make a beautiful apron, added wonderful tuck-ins that I carefully picked out and created and I didn't even get a thank you after repeated tries from the swap host. Never again.

  3. I've never done a swap but I won a giveaway on a blog one time. She sent an email asking for my address and that was the last I ever heard from her. As a matter of fact she even stopped blogging. If you are going to do a swap or a giveaway you have to be committed to follow through with it.

  4. I participated in my first swap in July. I was very skeptical. Luckily it turned out fine. I can only imagine your frustration. Dishonest people are the worst. After reading this, I am even more skeptical to do another one.

  5. An upcoming ornament swap will be my first swap, but I have won giveaways in the past. I had the same thing happen where I never received the gift, quit getting responses and then they quit blogging for quite a few months. Why bother hosting a giveaway if you aren't going to follow through. I was really looking forward to that one too!
