WIP Wednesday - August 7th Edition

Hi, everyone, and happy Wednesday!  I have a couple of things to share this week, yay! First off, I finally was able to share, yesterday, what I did with that adorable Christmas fabric! In case you missed it my Ho Ho Ho Blog Hop post and giveaway is located HERE!  I shared my finished Christmas Table Topper that I made using In From the Cold. Here is a peek (but don't forget the giveaway!)

I also worked on my Star Surround QAL project and got my flying geese done... all 108 of them lol. This is the first time I have made flying geese...a few look up close like they are falling geese but I am sure I can hide that with creative seam work! lol

Last but not least I got a UFO finished finally, I will blog about where it is going later this week.

I can not wait to see what everyone has been working on!! I am off to the Orlando Modern Quilt Guild meeting this morning, where I will finally officially join :) Yay. I am looking forward to it! What have you been up to? Did you do a WIP post? Let me know so I can stop by!

  2. I am really going to have to get me some of that In From The Cold fabric. I love every single project I have seen made with it. Yours is lovely!

Love your black / white / red quilt as well. I just finished a top with a similar color scheme (but I think I like your fabrics better!)

  3. Hi Tanyia. You asked yesterday about the bulky seams and I remembered Eleanor Burns' method. Watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5eCQklknOk and when she has the little block sewn, she picks out a few stitches and then swirls the center seam, making what looks like a tiny block on the wrong side. you might want to try this next time you make a block.
