Wednesday WIP - Jan 29th

http://www.freshlypieced.com/

Jan 29th??? Did I really just type that. 2014 is off to a bang, holy smokes, time is flying!

I have not been too busy this week with sewing, I was blessed by my husband with a cold from hell so I was not doing too much for a few days!

I did finish my owl plushies :) I shared them yesterday but here they are again

and I actually basted my Star Surround quilt from the quilt a long ... quilting is going to happen! I just know. I feel another finish coming on!

I am slowly here and there adding to my finished hexies.... it will be a small project, its the first time I am trying them and so far me no likey lol

and lastly,  just last night I cut out the papers for the Alison Glass " Feathers " quilt pattern (paper piecing) as I will be making one for my youngest's bed. I am waiting for background fabric to arrive though so I won't be starting right away. I also plan to work on this here and there and not all in one fell swoop... as with hexies, I only want to do so much paper piecing at a time lol

Now... I am off to hop, I love being inspired and see the progress that everyone is making! Happy Wednesday!

I love the pairing of the blue with the prints in your star quilt. awesome. or maybe "stellar" is better? =)

I was not completely taken with the epp thing at first, either, but keep at it. and please bring them by my monthly epp link party "in hand" at splish splash stash! maybe you'll get some encouragement/inspiration there.

  8. Hi Tanyia, I'm visiting from GYB and must say that your plushie owls are fantastic. My daughter, also 21, makes some little hand sewn owls from vintage fabric. We love owls; you must too. Off now to read more of your posts. :)
