WIP Wednesday - Feb 5th

http://www.freshlypieced.com/

Not a whole heck of a lot of new stuff this week. I have been busy canning, getting over that awful cold (which thankfully is 90% gone now), and being a mommy/taxi driver. Oh the joys lol.

Here is what I have been up to:

I started the feathers QAL. Last week I had the papers printed and ready to go. My architextures came in the mail, from Hawthorne Threads, and I got started :) This is going to be a " do a little here and there " project though, I am not rushing this one.

I bought the pattern for this adorable mini spools quilt so I could hang it in my craft room. I got to use up some leftovers from my table runner and the owls. I absolutely love how it turned out! I have never worked with 1" squares though, my fingers are a bit fat for that! Lol But I Tim Gunned it!

Last week I basted, this week I did start some quilting. This is going to take me forever as I a so slow and can only handle a bit at a time as well. That's why adding in the mini quilt and/or the paper piecing is perfect to take a break from one to the other when my mind goes numb lol.

Last but not least I got these ... I definitely consider this a work in progress! I am so excited to see what happens when I use them! If you know what they are then wish me luck. If you do not...stayed tuned!

Happy WIP Wednesday! What have you been up to?

  2. Oh, the comic book boards. I absolutely love them. I have most of my fabric in a big windowed cabinet in the living room and wrapping the fabric on those boards has made it look like a piece of art. Still a WIP and probably always will be. You go girl!

  3. Ooohh, I like the Feathers QAL blocks, and the spools mini is awesome! I figured out what you're likely doing with the boards--won't it make your whole stash "bigger"? Won't all the fabric take up more space that way?
